  • Next ISIR event is the ISIR session the ASSA meeting

    The International Society for Inventory Research (ISIR) sponsors a session each year at the ASSA meetings. The 2017 meetings will be held in Chicago, Illinois on January 6-8, 2017. This year the session is being organized by Felipe Schwartzman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
  • 13th ISIR Summer School on Competitive Advantage through Resource Efficiency
    August 21-25, 2017, Wien, Austria
    The main theme of this summer school is to discuss how advanced inventory management can improve material and capacity efficiency. Inventory management of raw and recycled materials, semi-finished and finished goods affects resource efficiency and improves sustainability.

  • New book: Sustainable Supply Chains – A Research-Based Textbook on Operations and Strategy
    This book is primarily intended to serve as a research-based textbook on sustainable supply chains for graduate programs in Business, Management, Industrial Engineering, and Industrial Ecology, but it should also be of interest for researchers in the broader sustainable supply chain space, whether from the operations management and industrial engineering side or more from the industrial ecology and life-cycle assessment side.
